Lamentationis a set of short pieces intended for Maundy Thursday. The first movements use appropriate texts from Jeremiah, followed by two short interludes for solo organ on the Last Supper, and the final movement is the Mandatum Novum, the new commandment from Jesus to love thy neighbor. This is a setting for bass voice and organ, but is also available for bass voice and string trio (violin, viola, cello).
