The Elements is a four movement piece for clarinet and piano, using the so-called basic elements as a guide - Water, Earth, Air and Fire. Earth pounds away with the clarinet and piano in unisons, the liquid and flowing Water; Air breezing along, and ending with Fire, roaring along in wild canons and jazzy breaks. I re-edited the piece in 2009, changing some spots to make it more idiomatic.
